Or is the date counter on your digital rebel off? I ask because, as best I remember, there were no Canon digital rebels back in the days before the Reagan administration. And I'm guessing you weren't yet into photography either.

@Crawfordian: HA! I really should update my camera's EXIF.
It was taken last night :-) Thanks for kudos!

Love the color and the extra low angle! How long was the exposure?

Nice meeting you. I was a little fried by the time you showed up, but was happy with what came out of the trip.

Dramatic angle! This theater reminded me of a western saloon. Glad it's still standing.

@bebocraze: It may not be standing for long! Demolition started today for many buildings on the East Garrison.

This is such an awesome composition. Instant fave for me.

I took the liberty of doing a rotate crop of this so the horizon was straight. It improves an already excellent image. Feel free delete this, but I just wanted to show you . . .

Excellent. Sometimes my vision is a bit off, and it looks like I originally didn't rotate it enough. I may have had a little to drink that night. I remember an Orion shot that I took where the building was about 15-20 degrees off the horizon! Time to get a flash shoe-mounted bubble level like darkstuff!

i love this shot. i don't have anything brilliantly constructive to say about it, i just enjoy the colors & textures.

Fantastic early work here. Vivid colors and great low angle that gives us such a close look at the surface of the road. New Year's Eve 1979? It really was a time when things were just about to take a turn, as the arrow suggests.
