What's even more odd is that I thought the decor would have worked, if only things had been cleaned up a bit. It has that 70s retro ambience, and it's not trying too hard to be 70s retro, it's just naturally classic :-)
That oven, the sink, the kitchen hardware -- all of it makes for a spaztastic abode.

I'm liking that brick wall on the left. Beyond retro.

@upshirt (I really should stop calling you that -- it's just too funny :-)
The brick wall, I believe, was the back side of hte fireplace, which is on the other side of the wall. In the coming days I'll add more images as I merge and post-process the remainders. You'll be amazed at what this camp has. Have you been there?

Nope, haven't been there. Care to take me? I hear it's close to where I live.

Upshift: Interested in a night trip? Might be a little while. Maybe a moon?

where is it? Is it a secret?
Jonathan Haeber wrote...
@andrea: Well, I would tell you, but then I'd have to kill ya -- something I would very much not like to do.
This site is secret, but for a select few photographers that I trust.
More reason to keep an eye on my photostream though, because eventually, I may reveal the location.

This is incredible. With a pink room like that you'd think it was for the Girl Scouts!

How long ago did that place close down?

Late 80s. Actually it was only days before the Loma Prieta earthquake.

That's quite a view. You're certainly getting around a lot these days. No abandonment is safe!

Ah that's awesome... love the differences from night to day... very cool!

Oh. My. God. The frickin' pink room. I love it. I might have figured out I was gay a lot sooner if they had decorated camp like this when I was a boy scout.
