Oak Knoll Hospital on LF
The first building on Oak Knoll was constructed in 1942 as a temporary structure to treat World War II veterans. Through the years the hospital campus grew to include dozens of structures and this 1967, 11-story hospital. L Ron Hubbard was treated here. In February of 1996 Oak Knoll finally closed its doors, per the BRAC (Base Realignment Committee) decision.

wow killer sky in this shot.
did you go inside?
Jonathan Haeber wrote...
yeah. I've been inside before, but I didn't go inside this night. To be honest, it's not very interesting inside. Much of the equipment has been stripped out, and it's a copper-thieves' no-man's land.
