This is really nice T-Bug. I don't think I got a straight on shot like this.

At first I thought this was Building 680 on Mare Island. It has a similar cathedral-like quality. Very impressive!

I need to get my ass to Detroit one of these days. A mile long? I might have to bring lunch for a few days of shooting. ;-) Speaking of steel mills, I read that Bethlehem Steel once stretched 4 miles along the Lehigh River before it gradually started shutting down, one section after another after the first strike in the '60s. At least the blast furnaces are still there. You could spend a month alone in the furnaces shooting away like a madman. Even though 70% of what used to be Bethlehem Steel is now a casino, it's still worth checking out, just for the furnaces alone, if you ever make it to the northeast.

Incredible! It's so sad when places like this close.
