Pacific Telephone Building

Sentries on Parapet

The 26-story, neo-gothic Pacific Telephone Building, also known as the PacBell Building, was vacated in 2005. This is a tour of the now-abandoned building designed by James Rupert Miller and Timothy L. Pflueger in 1925. To learn more about the journey to this building, visit my story about visiting Pac Bell. ADDENDUM: Alexander (Aimwell) Cantin should receive due credit for this building - being as he was the lead architect on the project while working for Pfleuger and Miller - sigh... architecture is a brutal profession... if you work for the big guys you lose all chance at glory... oh, but what a project.
